Arizona Vaca!

Time to get back to work after a wonderful snowbird trip to Arizona. We've experienced the mildest winter here in Montana since 1904-1905, when only inches of snow were seen in Kalispell and Missoula. The most recent snow drought occurred in 2021 but led to a severe fire season. I hope winter brings heavy snowfall between now and June. We did get our first snowfall this week, and it was a beautiful sight. I love the deep quiet that a heavy snowfall brings. Fingers crossed, we see more of the beautifully quiet solitude brought on by a couple of Montana blizzards.

This vacation was the first time in four years that I did not bring any schoolwork with me, write here, or continue reworking last year's journals. I did bring my daily pages and gratitude journaling. I thought it would be a quick catch-up getting home, but it turned out to be a little bit more arduous than I had anticipated. Still well worth it.

I also took the time to do a mini-spring cleaning of the house since we brought all our gear back from AZ, and we have the German Shedder whose coat is as confused as the weather.

The short and sweet is to take the time for yourself. I have not committed to focusing on just having fun in years. I am grateful my coursework requirements and dissertation allowed me that precious time off.
