Joshua Tree

My Joshua tree set me out on a lark

Guiding, driving, the perils were dark

Leading me to eastern beaches, horses run free

Riding through western wildflowers in the mountain breeze

Smells of pine needles, and buzzing bees

On my mount and trusty steed

My baby horse, he picked me

My Joshua tree directs me

Northern lights harbinger grace

Mesmerizing, I imagine God's heavenly face

Southern deserts, expansive sky, dusty vistas in the eye

Oh, the things I have seen

Floating, fly fishing on high mountain lakes

My Joshua tree guides fearlessly to date

Ushering me towards my destiny
